Are these the only stories in Tale House?
The series shown are examples of worlds that can be created with Tale House. To start your own, describe an idea or get suggestions based on your taste. You are not limited to these examples.
How is Tale House different from a book or audiobook?
A book is a human-created work with its own perspective and carefully crafted form. Tale House uses AI to create a personal series, with new episodes that build on your world. We see this as an additional form of entertainment and an alternative to scrolling or streaming. We do not aim to replace the work of authors or professional narrators.
Do I have to decide what happens next?
No. In automatic mode, your series develops without you having to enter new ideas. If you want, you can give the next episode a direction with a personal wish.
Can I listen with friends or family?
You can choose an idea together and listen on the same device. Shared series across multiple accounts, invitations and shared decisions are not available yet. The current iPhone test is designed for individual users.
Is Tale House suitable for children yet?
A dedicated children’s experience with age-appropriate settings is planned but not available yet. The current test version has not been assessed as a children’s offering. The example series are not recommendations for children.
Who writes and narrates the stories?
Stories are created with generative AI. Our editorial rules help keep characters and plots consistent across episodes. A synthetic voice is generated directly on your iPhone. These are not human-written or human-narrated audiobooks. Text, continuity and pronunciation can still contain errors; historical settings are fiction, not reliable factual sources.
Can I use Tale House already?
Tale House is being tested on iPhone. Join the free waitlist for news and updates when new test places become available. Joining does not provide immediate access.
What will it cost?
Tale House is planned as a paid subscription. Our current price proposal for Germany is €14.99 per month or €69.99 per year, including VAT. The annual plan is billed yearly. Pricing and plan details may change before launch. Joining the waitlist is free, requires no payment details and does not start a subscription.
Can I listen offline?
You can listen offline to episodes whose audio is fully generated. New stories and new episodes require an internet connection.
Which devices and languages are supported?
We are starting on iPhone with iOS 18 or later, in German, English and Brazilian Portuguese. An Android version is not currently available.

Why we're building this
Ever since I was a child, I've made up stories in my head. Now, for the first time, they can be told back to me.
Tale House began with a childhood habit: imagining worlds and returning to their characters. Today, it is becoming an app that tells those stories back to you.

A book carries a person’s perspective. A reading comes alive through a narrator’s craft. Those have a value of their own. Tale House adds personal, AI-generated entertainment to that world, for the moments you might otherwise spend scrolling through a feed.
Our texts are created with generative AI, and our synthetic voices are produced on your iPhone. We are open about that. It is a different form of storytelling, with its own possibilities and limits.
